This is a painting that I did today. I was inspired by an old photo of my grandmother. They tell me that I only saw her once when she was very ill and I was very young. I don't remember. I wonder if she would like that I put real earrings in her ears?
hi jill, thanks for stopping by my blog, and for your kind comments. the Painted rug is painted directly on the floor. and, the floor is actually plywood. it was for a family that shared a house down the Jersey shore. they completely renovated the house and to save money they stained the plywood stairs, instead of installing hardwood. it turned out great!
